A Parent To Teens At 21!?

Chapter One

I was taking a break, having a drink, after my shift at The Juke Joint ended when I was approached by the new bouncer.

"Mind if I sit down?" "Go ahead, DeMarcus right?"

"Yes it is Dedra."

"I had to ask around and find out the name of the best bartender in the city"

"I don't know about all that but I can see right through bullshit so don't blow smoke up my ass with all the flattery." We ended up talking for a couple of hours before I realized the time and regrettably had to end the best conversation I've had in months to head home.

DeMarcus and I continued with the easy banter as we waited on a cab outside the bar.

When we realized we were headed to the same side of town we decided to share a cab.

During the cab ride we realized that not only did we work together we lived in the same building.

DeMarcus couldn't wait to introduce his daughter to my sister.

TaMiko was shy didn't have a lot of friends and a little self conscience because of her size.

With the change in my siblings attitudes lately I only hope they make TaMiko feel welcomed, who knows things with DeMarcus seems interesting enough to pursue if things go well with the kids.

A Parent To Teens at 21!?

The Introduction

I'm Dedra Winn and my parents died in a tragic car accident just six months ago. 

I dropped out of college moved back to the City to take care of my brother and sister.

Deedee is sixteen, She was always shy and quiet. Since our parents passing she has become more outgoing, making new friends and recreating her self.  I worry for her.

Detrick is seventeen and has changed from his happy, outgoing, playful usual self to an angry, over protective reclusive person.

He's constantly giving Deedee shit about how she dresses and who she's texting and talking too.

I know neither one is handling it well but I fear it's affecting Deedee a lot more than she's letting on.  She wants everyone to think she's okay.

But I've caught moments that she seemed on the verge of finally grieving.

What am I gonna do when she finally does.  What am I gonna do when Detrick finally does.  What am I gonna do when I finally break.  I'm only twenty one how am I suppose to raise my teenage siblings.

I'm Back!!!!!!!

I can't believe this blog still exist.  I guess it's true what they say, once on the internet always on the internet.  After many many years I have found a place to post my stories again.  I am now playing Sims 4 and have loved the way the game has evolved but most of all I love the way the custom content creators have evolved.  It is you that keeps me submerged in the game so Thank you.  Happy Simming!!!!!!
